baji Cricket Betting — top markets and live odds across all formats
From T20 to Test, BPL to international series — baji offers multiple betting markets for every match. Because odds shift as the match progresses, every over in live betting is different.
Cricket's three formats and major tournaments
T20 — the fastest format
In this twenty-over format, the situation can change in an instant. BPL (Bangladesh Premier League), IPL and T20 World Cup are the three tournaments most popular among cricket fans in Bangladesh. baji offers various markets for every T20 match, from match winner to runs per over.
ODI — fifty-over strategy
In one-day cricket, odds keep changing from the first innings through to the final over. ICC events and bilateral series ODI markets offer betting options such as top batsman, top wicket-taker and total runs. The longer match length also gives more time to plan your bets.
Test — the five-day challenge
In Test cricket, a draw is a valid result, so markets offer three possibilities — Team A wins, Team B wins, or the match is drawn. Pitch behaviour, weather and every session play an important role. Test betting odds generally remain more stable over time than in T20.
Bangladesh's favourite tournaments
BPL is held at Dhaka and other venues around the country each season, and it generates the most betting interest of any tournament. Bangladeshi viewers also follow IPL with great enthusiasm. Tigers matches in the T20 World Cup and ICC events attract the most markets. baji offers multiple betting options for every match in all these tournaments, open from before the match starts.
Beyond cricket, baji also offers betting on football, tennis and other sports. However, the variety of markets found in cricket is generally not matched by other sports — especially in live betting, where cricket stands apart because every ball creates a new situation.
Popular betting markets with simple examples
Match Winner
The simplest bet — choose which team will win the match. In T20 there are two outcomes (Team A or Team B); in Test there are three (Team A, Team B, or draw). Example: if Team A is the favourite, their odds are lower; if Team B is the underdog, their odds are higher.
Toss Winner
A quick bet placed before the match starts — choose which team will win the toss. With two possible outcomes, odds are usually close to even. In major tournaments this market closes before the match begins.
Top Batsman
Choose which batsman will score the most runs for their team in a specific innings or across the full match. The comparison is within the same team, so odds depend on the strength of the squad.
Total Runs Over/Under
baji sets a line, for example "total runs 165". If you think the actual runs will be more than 165, choose over; if you think less, choose under. Pitch and weather conditions play a big role in this bet.
Multi Bet (multiple matches)
Combine predictions from multiple matches — if all selections are correct the return is much higher, but if even one is wrong you lose the entire bet. Example: placing a multi bet on Team A to win three separate matches multiplies the odds of all three together.
Over of First Wicket
Bet on which over the first wicket will fall. Aggressive batting in the powerplay keeps this number low; a cautious start increases the chance of it being higher.
Three types of odds — how to read each one
baji displays three odds formats — decimal, fractional and American. All three express the same probability in different ways.
Example 1 — Team A to win, stake ৳200
Decimal 2.25 = Fractional 5/4 = American +125
If the bet wins, return is ৳450 (৳250 profit + ৳200 original stake). If the bet loses, ৳200 is gone.
Example 2 — Team B is favourite, stake ৳200
Decimal 1.80 = Fractional 4/5 = American -125
American minus odds indicate how much you need to stake to win ৳100 profit. A ৳200 stake returns ৳360 (৳160 profit).
Decimal odds are the simplest — multiply your stake directly by the number to get the total return. On baji, baji Bet shows decimal format as the default.
Multi bet calculation
| Selection | Decimal Odds | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Selection 1 | 1.40 | Team A to win |
| Selection 2 | 1.70 | Team B to win |
| Selection 3 | 1.80 | Team A to win |
| Combined odds (1.40 × 1.70 × 1.80) | 4.28 | |
| Return on a ৳100 stake if all three are correct | ৳428 | |
If even one of the three is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost — multi bets are for entertainment, not a guaranteed source of income.
Live Betting — odds change with every wicket
Betting while a match is in progress is called in-play or live betting. In cricket this is especially relevant because the situation can shift with every ball. When a wicket falls, the batting team's chances of winning drop, so their odds rise. Conversely, the bowling team's odds fall.
The over count also matters. If the batting team scores quickly in the powerplay, their chances of winning increase and their odds shorten. Towards the end, when a team is chasing a big target, their odds are higher — one big over can change those odds rapidly.
If rain or the Duckworth-Lewis method comes into play, live odds may temporarily close. When play resumes, odds are recalculated based on the revised target. On mobile, the live betting screen in baji App updates odds in real time.
Live betting requires quick decisions, so keeping a stable mobile connection is important. This is purely an entertainment experience — there is no guarantee of any specific outcome.
Cricket vs football and other sports
Features of cricket betting
- Longer matches mean more markets — separate bets are available for every over, every wicket and every innings
- In T20 the situation changes fast; in Test it changes slowly
- Live odds can change with every ball
- Local team interest in BPL and IPL can influence odds
- A draw is only possible in Test — in T20 and ODI one team generally wins
Differences in football and other sports
- A football match lasts 90 minutes, so it generally has fewer markets
- A goalless draw is a common football result — three possible outcomes apply across all formats
- Tennis has set and game-based markets, but odds do not update ball by ball like in cricket
- Live odds in other sports do not move as rapidly as in cricket
- Cricket is the most popular sport in the Bangladesh market
Practical tips for getting started with betting
-
Start with one market
New bettors should focus only on the match winner market at first. Placing bets across multiple markets at once increases confusion. -
Set your budget in advance
Decide how much you will spend each week before you start. Placing larger bets to try to recover losses is a harmful habit. -
Be careful with multi bets
Multi bets offer higher returns but getting every selection right is difficult. Adding more than three selections increases the risk of losing the entire bet. -
Do not rush in live betting
Because odds change quickly in-play, you may feel pressure to decide immediately. Take time to consider each bet calmly. -
Know the rules first
Before participating in betting, read the terms and conditions and learn about responsible gaming. Betting is purely for entertainment. -
Play easily on mobile
baji's Android and iOS apps are available through official channels. The live betting screen is more convenient on mobile.
You will find a detailed guide on keeping your betting in check on the Responsible Gaming page.
